Patricia Piccinini's 'Radial' (2005) , as seen in an earlier blog, is made up of fibreglass, automative paint, stainless steel and rubber. the use of these paticular materials gives the artwork a more realistic feel and adheres to her automative themed art work. the rubber has been moulded on top of the wheel to create a figure that also looks somewhat like roadkill.
Sidney Nolan's 'Gallipoli' (1950), also a seen in the earlier blog along with Patricia Piccinini's artwork, isn't one of his widely known artworks even though it is such a powerful image. looking at the image you are able to feel his emotions and how he was directly affected by the second world war. however it seems that this was painted just on paper like some of his other artwork.
